This white floury landrace's name originates from how the cobs are used-as firewood. Plants are relatively short and early in maturity, as many of the Gurani corns are. It's found only in one location- Rio Grande do Sul and is apparently no longer in cultivation there. Medium length ears often are full filled and have pure white kernels.
