Popcorn. The pointed kernelled popcorn of the Guarani. Among the tribes of the region, only the Guarani seemed to have cultivated popcorn. The plants are early and quite productive. Ears are of a solid white color and usually average 6 inches long, unusually large for a popcorn. The plants average 4-5.5 feet tall and are quite productive, bearing at least 3-4 or even 5 ears per plant
